There were 3 ungulate Species in Korsman – 1998 *Blesbok and Springbok utilized the northern parts of the sanctuary in 1993.There were 12 blesbok and 14 springbok.In the terrestrial ecosystem the major components used to be the buck, grasses and trees that have a large impact on the ecosystem. The animals were removed to another reserve near Nigel, due to the average increase in the water level and the reduction of the grassland area* Fish - 2 species identified;* Reptiles – 7 species identified;* Rodents – 4 species;* Insects (unknown);* Amphibian – 5 species identified * Fruit and insectivorous bats* Butterflies – 25 species.* Spiders - 45 species: 1 endemic to the Sanctuary (Astri le Roy, Personal communication, 1986).
